During a rally to commemorate 2012’s Martin Luther King, Jr. Day, King’s daughter Bernice shocked some of the participants with her pro-LGBT statements. Bernice King’s thoughts and musings on gays and lesbians caused some controversy, especially in light of her mother Coretta Scott-King’s LGBT-inclusive stances on human rights. Bernice King aligned herself with an anti-gay church and marched in an anti-gay marriage rally.
